Modern day Fibre glass completed
We just wrapped up a specialised roofing project using the LRS Rapid Roof liquid system to replace an ageing asphalt roof that needed updating.
The Problem
This particular roof had several features that made it harder than normal to repair. The property had handrails and fence panels installed around its edges with anchor points fixed directly through the old roof covering. These permanent fixtures presented a challenge for getting a proper seal with traditional roofing materials.
Standard roofing methods would have left potential gaps around these fixed points, but we knew the LRS liquid system could flow and seal around these obstacles completely.
Our Solution
Surface Preparation
We cleaned and prepared the old asphalt surface to make sure the new liquid system would stick properly.
Liquid Application
We applied the LRS Rapid Roof system across the entire surface. Unlike sheet materials, this liquid formed a continuous, seamless membrane that wrapped tightly around all the handrail and fence attachments, leaving no gaps for water to enter.
Safety Upgrade
Since people need to walk on this roof occasionally, we added the anti-slip top coat option to prevent falls in wet conditions. The customer picked one of the two colour choices to match their house.
The Results
The new roof fixes multiple problems at once. It’s completely waterproof with no seams or joints where leaks might start. The special coating makes it safe to walk on when needed. It looks much cleaner and more modern than the old asphalt surface and should last significantly longer without needing repairs.
This type of liquid fibreglass system shows how newer roofing technologies can solve problems that traditional materials struggle with, especially when dealing with unusual roof features or fixed obstructions.
